Keep what you’ve already saved.

Install updates without uninstalling Clearing or clearing its storage. Sign in with the same Google account on each device and let your existing tasks finish syncing. You can keep an independent backup from Settings.

Your first few minutes

Sign in. Settle in.

An internet connection and Google sign-in are required to begin. After that, your saved work remains available offline.

1.

Open Clearing.

Install it on Android or Windows, or open it on the web. Choose Continue with Google to get started.

2.

Sign in with Google.

Use the same account on every device. When the installed app opens your browser, check the matching device code and finish connecting.

3.

Make room for your day.

Return to Clearing and let your saved tasks sync. Create a task, open its checklists, or write a note. Your work stays available offline.

A smooth move

Keep your work with you.

Can I keep working offline?

Yes. After your initial Google sign-in, saved tasks, notes and checklists remain available without internet. On the web, wait for “Offline ready” before disconnecting. Sync and connected services resume when you’re online.

When will my changes sync?

Sync runs while Clearing is open and connected. It checks again when you reconnect or reopen the app. Use Sync now to request the latest changes. Offline edits stay on that device until it reconnects; a closed app does not continuously sync.

What does Google sign-in allow?

Connected services use the permissions you grant. Your organization’s Google and device policies still apply.

Calendar
Reads your calendars and adds focus blocks. It only removes blocks created by Clearing.
Drive
Uses its own hidden app folder for sync. It cannot browse your ordinary Drive files.
Google Tasks
Read-only access when you use task import. Nothing is written back.
Gmail
Optional read-only access, requested separately for email features. Nothing is sent, moved or deleted.
