These are the terms for using Clearing at clearing.today and app.clearing.today, and the Windows and Android apps. By using it you agree to them.

What you get

Clearing is provided as is, free of charge, for personal use. An internet connection and Google sign-in are required before initial app use. After signing in, you can continue using saved tasks, notes and checklists offline. Your data is kept on your device, and connected services such as sign-in, calendar access, sync and any configured external integrations are provided on a best-effort basis. Online services still require a connection. There is no uptime guarantee and no warranty of any kind.

Your data

Your tasks, notes and everything else you put in Clearing are yours. How they are handled is described in the privacy page. You are responsible for keeping a backup of anything you cannot afford to lose. Use the backup export in Settings to keep an independent copy. Sync exchanges changes between devices, including deletions; it does not replace an independent backup.

Your Google account

Google features work only with the permissions you grant on Google's consent screen, and you can withdraw them through your Google Account. Workspace administrator restrictions may limit those features. Disconnecting inside Clearing removes the connection on that device and preserves other devices' access. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's own terms.

Acceptable use

Do not use Clearing to store or send content that is unlawful, or to attack, overload or probe the service. Where separately configured AI integrations are available, they may have usage limits. Clearing does not include a bundled AI assistant model or voice transcription model, and local task and note editing does not depend on those services.

Changes and ending

The service may change or stop at any time. Stopping the online service does not itself remove locally saved data. You can stop using Clearing whenever you like and erase this browser or app installation's data from Settings. That action does not erase shared sync copies, other devices, exported backups or the server's access registry; see the privacy page for details.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the maker of Clearing is not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use, including lost data or missed tasks.
